Gallery Values and Objectives

Our objectives are:

1. Recognition and promotion of emerging talents.

2. Creating an awareness of art amongst old and new collectors by showcasing good quality art works.

3. Providing a platform for interaction between artists and collectors.

4. Raise funds to sustain their creative activities and organising training and scholarships for artists.

5. Support emerging artists with materials and guide them in order for them to be able to express their talents for public

    consumption worldwide.

6. Market artist’s products locally and internationally by the means of exhibitions and electronic media. The gallery

promotes upcoming and emerging artists whose work, apart from being of high quality, is affordable and holds good

value for money for the collectors as well as provides an adequate reward for the artists’ creative talent.

We all know that art is important in our society. Looking at art can provide a much needed refuge for reflection, sympathy, quietude, inspiration, and even ecstasy in this increasingly chaotic world. It also deepens knowledge of cultures and artistic practice, develop observational skills, reveal insights into history that other documents can't, and encourage creative, analytical, and autonomous thinking. All these ARTFRICART GALLERY encourages.

Gallery Background

Started in the Delft township, SOUTH AFRICA, ARTFRICART GALLERY, is a social investment project aimed at integration and job creation for African artists through medium of art. Its founder’s vision was to provide non South Africans and South African emerging artists a platform to express their creative talents in order to penetrate the art market by teaming them up under the umbrella of the above-mentioned organisation.

The project started in 2012 with one artist who left the art business because he could not make a living out of his art but did not have an alternative economic activity. He was encouraged by the founder to concentrate at what he knows best: “painting”. As time went by, other artists in the community started joining and by word of mouth the project has grown up to 14 artist members.
